Wood Fired Cinnamon Apples

 

This recipe for wood fired cinnamon apples is easy to make in your wood-fired oven and is a delicious end to any meal.

Ingredients:

  • Apple Juice
  • Apples
  • Brown Sugar
  • Mixed Nuts
  • Raisins
  • Cinnamon
  • Caramel
  • Melted Butter

 

Recipe:

  1. Heat oven to 400F
  2. Core the apples. Make sure to chop off the top and the bottoms to help them stand up.
  3. Place the apples in your pan.
  4. Mix the brown sugar, raisins, cinnamon and caramel into a bowl.
  5. Once it’s mixed, fill the inside of the apples with the mixture, letting some sit on top of each apple.
  6. Gently pour melted butter over the top of the apples.
  7. Fill the bottom of the pan with about an inch of apple juice.
  8. Cover the pan with foil and place in the oven for about 15-20 minutes.
  9. Once the apples are cooked, serve them with a spoon into a bowl. Top with more of the mixed nuts, caramel or vanilla ice cream!

There's nothing like the high heat from the coals combined with the constant rotation to develop all the flavors. The skin will taste like bacon, the white meat will remain juicy, and the light smoke flavor is simply delightful.
