Wood Fired Spiced Apples with Dried Fruit

Such a warm and delicious way to eat apples, with cinnamon and dried fruits.

Ingredients: 4 large apples (granny smith or gala)

2 tbs lemon juice

1/4 c dried cranberries

2 tbs raisins

2 tbs walnuts, chopped

1/4 tsp cinnamon

1/8 tsp nutmeg

1 tbs unsalted butter, softened (Note - can use pecans or other dried fruits such as apricots, cherries. Can also add a square of caramel on top last 5 minutes of cooking)

Recipe Steps   Preheat 350 F 1 Core 4 large apples 2 Brush inside with lemon juice 3 Place each apple on a 10' square of foil 4

Small bowl - mix all other ingredients (but use only 1/2 tbs of the butter here) 5 Put fruit/nut mixture inside each apple 6 Put remaining 1/2 tbs butter dotted on top of apple (split 4 ways) 7

Wrap apple up tightly in foil 8 Cook anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour
