Apple Pie and Pie Crust

Brick Oven Apple Pie

For the day 6 of being quarantined, we made an Apple Pie.

The recipe is simple, with few ingredients, yet it is delicious.

Ingredients Crust:

  • 2 cup of flour or 250 gr
  • 1 stick of butter or 120 gr
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3 tsp of sugar
  • 5 tbsp 70 ml of water

Ingredients Apple:

  • 4 apples, cored and sliced
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1.2 tsp of cinnamon


  1. Take the butter out of the fridge to soften for about 1 hour
  2. Place the flour, sugar and salt in a bowl
  3. Cut up the butter in ¼ cube and place in the bowl
  4. Mix by hand or with a paddle mixer
  5. Put in the water and mix briefly. Try to not over mix
  6. Form into a ball and place in the fridge for 30 minutes to rest
  7. During that time, peel, core and slice the apples
  8. Place the apple slice in a bowl with water to prevent them from turning brown
  9. With a rolling pin stretch the dough and place it in a pie dish
  10. Place the apple slices in fan like manner
  11. Mix the cinnamon and sugar and sprinkle the apples
  12. Bake at 400 F for 30 to 40 minutes or until golden brown
